There is nothing better than a parade during the holiday season. Wait!...maybe there is. It’s a boat parade!
You can't help but get into the spirit of things with lights gleaming off the cool ripples in the water and the holiday sounds coming from the lavishly decorated vessels. That’s why at "Florida By Water" we have created an extensive list of boating parades for the holidays.
From Pensacola to Key West, we have listed over 74 spectacular events. You can locate the huge ones like in Fort Lauderdale with over 200 boats to smaller ones in Astor with a hometown feel.
The truth of the matter is we have given you fair notice to plan ahead...no excuses this year.... spend an evening with the family and friends. Get into the spirit only the way a true boater can. Read More to see the list.
Did we miss one? Please let us know if so. Click here or firstname.lastname@example.org
Please confirm dates and times, they are subject to change
SPECIAL THANKS TO CHAMPAGNE & PARISI FOR FUNDING THIS PAGE.
* We are in the process up updating this page for 2017 (Check the year after the date to ensure it has been updated).

32nd Anniversary BCYC Lighted Christmas Boat Parade
December 9th, 2017 6:00pm
We start at the Gulfport Municipal Marina and pass by the BCYC clubhouse on our way out into the bay. Next we head to Gulfport's Williams Pier and the beach, passing by the Gulfport Casino. We make our way through the communities of Town Shores, Kipps Colony and the Pasadena Yacht & Country Club, Pasadena Golf Club Estates and Dolphin Boulevard South where holiday parties wait for us to pass by. Lastly we visit Isla del Sol, then head back to the BCYC clubhouse for the Post Parade party.
But it's about more than fun and merriment. Participants need only a simple fee to enter - two (or more!) unwrapped toys for Operation Santa. Operation Santa, coordinated by the Gulfport police department, collects toys for the children of Gulfport whose holidays would be sadder without the generosity of the community. Boca Ciega Yacht Club is proud to have been part of Operation Santa for 17 years.
In turn BCYC depends on the generosity of our wonderful parade sponsors, who allow us to shower our participants with fun and useful prizes at the end of the parade. Everyone is a winner at this event and no boat goes home empty handed — so you can imagine it takes many generous sponsors to spread the joy around. Please see a list of our 2016 sponsors below. We would love it if you could support these sponsors when doing your holiday shopping!
For spectators, spend the day at Gulfport's Holiday Hoopla, watch the parade and dine in Gulfport that evening!
If you would like to become a 2017 parade sponsor, contact parade chairs Barb & Jimmy Meyer at 727-430-7241 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Entry Fee: Two (or more) unwrapped children's presents OR a check made out to "Operation Santa", the City of Gulfport's annual toy drive.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded during the Post Parade Party for participating boats. (You must be present to win.)
Post Parade Party: Our Post Parade Party is a potluck party for participating boats and their crew (so bring a dish to share) with holiday drinks, music, singing and BCYC's legendary rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas (hopefully, not too off-key!)
Registration deadline is Thursday December 7, 2017. You must be present at BCYC after the parade to win prizes.

Punta Gorda Boat Parade

Viewers get up very close to the boats at this parade that includes carolers, performers, and great decorations.
We’re Commercial Free! No entry fees, no judging, just a great time! No worries from winds or tides. It's Smooth Sailing as the entire parade is within protected waters of the PGI canal system.
To increase the margin of boater safety, two-way traffic has been reduced to an absolute minimum, and the number of turns has been reduced, resulting in a safer and far less challenging, stress-free time for our participating boaters.
To better accommodate the ever increasing number of boats queuing before the start of the parade, the actual parade starting point has been relocated farther down route. This opens up the basins off Windjammer Point and Bal Harbor Place condos as well as Albatross Lagoon for a much larger pre-parade assembly area.
