Welaka Lodge & Resort consists of one and two bedroom cottages. These cottages are built in the Florida Vernacular (Cracker) style with wide porches, metal roofs, and traditional lap or board-n-batten siding.
In addition to cottages we offer twelve full hookup 20/30/50 amp RV sites with picnic table and fire ring.With the amenities provided we are an ideal location for family reunions, corporate retreats, and wedding.

Bring your boat and spend the weekend! Our Canal provides you a clear path to the river where sounds of woodpeckers, owls, ospreys and eagles float gently on the breeze as you fish in water teeming with fish! See turtles sunning on logs, manatees blowing, gators sleeping on the banks, and egrets flying low across the river. We even have a hawk who rests on our dock piling!
Where the climate and water conditions are favorable for natural bigmouth bass. Striped bass are also plentiful at certain times of the year. Many Bigmouth bass in the six to twelve pound class are caught regularly in our area. Bream and black crappie (Speckled perch) also grow large in the St. John’s river. Bream over one pound and crappie over two pounds are not uncommon. Shrimp in the fall months are found in abundance in the St. John’s river too. We are a short cast by boat from some of the most famous bass fishing waters in the country. Lake George, Hog Island, Drayton Island, Salt Springs Run, Silver Glenn Springs, Rodman Reservoir, Oklawaha River, Dunns Creek, and Crescent Lake. For those who do not have their own boats, we have fully rigged bass boats, and pontoon boats at reasonable for rent. For those interested in a guide, we have access to the finest self-employed, professional guides in the area.
Whether it is just sitting on the deck and watching the sun set over the Ocala National Forest, enjoying the natural habitat riding up the Oklawaha River, sunning by the pool, or visiting one of the nearby crystal clear springs... you are sure to step back in time and relax. Leave your boat in our 48 slip marina for your entire stay. Clean your catch in the Fish Cleaning station on the dock. Boat rental is available as well as local fishing guides. Gas grills, tables & chairs are provided on the patio overlooking the river. Full laundry facilities are on property for your convenience. All units have a beautiful water view, are comfortably furnished & fully equipped. Wheelchair assessible units are available. Just bring your clothes and groceries and you are ready to begin a wonderful vacation!
