Welcome To Jupiter

3084392jifLocated north of Palm Beach, Jupiter is a great destination for boating. Just across the Intracoastal Waterway from Hobe Sound is Jupiter Island, a quiet, wealthy enclave in Martin County. Protecting the island's natural habitats is Blowing Rocks Preserve, which marvels visitors with the largest stretch of Anastasia limestone on the Atlantic coast. When winter storms or high tides roll in, the ocean breaks hitting the rocks forces the water 50 feet skyward in spectacular natural plumes.

Surrounding cities include Tequesta, Juno Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Stuart and Hobe Sound. We are also home to the famous Jupiter Lighthouse. This quaint coastal community has much to offer residents and tourists alike. Scuba diving is widely popular as the Gulf Stream offers the Florida coast some of the best diving in the world.

Jupiter Inlet is well known as one of the best places for snook fishing. Besides snook, Jupiter Inlet is also great for large jacks, sheepshead, mangrove snapper and even the occasional tarpon. Offshore anglers can also catch kingfish, cobia, grouper, snapper, mahi, wahoo and sailfish.

he Jupiter Inlet is a small, narrow opening in the barrier beach, about a mile east of the Jupiter Inlet lighthouse. The Inlet is “The Meanest Inlet In South Florida.” Sand is constantly shifting, especially on the northern side. Shoaling and fast currents make this an especially dangerous place to boat. Do not attempt to use this inlet without local knowledge. The Inlet is also the mouth of the Loxahatchee River. Area Boating Guide Photo By  "justaflshwound"
